Does your student need some extra practice with their math facts? Do they need help understanding the missing number concept or the communicative property of addition? This addition fact game will help them with these concepts in a fun way!
These Fact Cards can be used two ways. They can be played like Go Fish, where each player is given five cards and there is a pick up pile. If the player has the addition problem, they can ask for the sum. If the player has the sum card they have to decide which numbers make up the sum and ask for the addition problem. Having to use higher order reasoning as they figure out what to ask for is what makes this game so great!
Check out this video where I explain how this game is played here.
If you want to just work on math facts these cards can be played like a memory game. Take turns flipping cards over until you find a match with the addition problem and sum.
